Sprite
I was looking to get another cat after Riley’s (an Orange Tabby) sister passed away prematurely at age 10. A friend recommended the Feline Rescue Rehabilitation & Retirement organization in Gonic NH, so we took a trip up there to see what they had.
There were about 10 young (7-12 months) cats playfully running around, all very adorable, however there was one that was especially interesting, and affectionate. She kept rubbing up against my leg and seemed to have quite a personality. I ended up leaving FuRRR without making a decision that day but the thought of this kitten Deanna wouldn’t go away. Maintaining those thoughts, the next day the wheels were in motion to adopt her! The FuRRR staff made it all so easy and just about a week later Deanna came home to meet big brother Riley. Beyond belief, they bonded immediately, and are now true cuddling companions. Full of spirit, enthusiasm and courage, Deanna is now Sprite. (Mighty Spritey!)
Not knowing her full history, she was born in South Carolina, and lived 9 months before entering my life. I am so grateful to the rescue organization there in SC, to FuRRR, and to all that cared for her prior to our connecting. I couldn’t be any happier and so thankful for all of the love, entertainment, and joy she has brought into my world, and to everyone else she rubs up against.
